Amanda Ross

administrative Program Coordinator

Amanda Ross, our administrative program coordinator, supports the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) at UConn Health administered by the Connecticut Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and Connecticut Department of Public Health. Amanda assists with maintaining program compliance and communications as well as provides SLRP applicants with program navigational support.

Prior to joining the CT SLRP team, Amanda developed an expertise in graduate medical education via the UConn Pediatric Residency and Surgical and Subspecialty Fellowships Programs at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, rising in the ranks of fellowship program coordination to, ultimately, manager of graduate medical education.

As part of that experience, she was a member of the ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) Coordinator Advisory Group, an experience that nurtured her interest in the continual improvement of the education of our future physicians, researchers, and educators. During her time as graduate education manager, Amanda published national articles on mentorship and worked to provide quality improvements across the educational continuum.

Amanda’s background and skill set complements those of CT SLRP’s other dedicated team members to help ensure the success of the program, the healthcare workers who participate in this initiative, and the communities they serve.
