Northwestern CT AHEC (Greater Waterbury, Greater Danbury and Litchfield County) is designed to build a diverse health workforce and engage students in service‑oriented health education. They are currently inviting health care professionals to participate in a Virtual Guest Speaking Opportunity with high school and college students, offering a chance to inspire the next generation by sharing your career journey and expertise in the health field.

Central CT AHEC (Hartford and Middlesex Counties, Meriden and Wallingford) provides service‑learning opportunities for high school and college students, where participants engage in health‑focused education, community service projects, and exposure to health careers. They offer AmeriCorps placements and CPR/First Aid training, giving volunteers hands‑on experience supporting underserved communities.

Southwestern CT AHEC (Fairfield and New Haven Counties, including Bridgeport and New Haven) offers service‑learning, health‑career pathways, and community engagement, connecting volunteers with initiatives that improve access to care and promote health equity.

The Health Education Center (New London, Tolland and Windham Counties) offers community‑focused workforce‑development programs—such as Community Health Worker and Medical Interpreter training—that give students hands‑on ways to support underserved communities. They offer volunteer-related opportunities which support health‑education outreach activities, where students engage in community health promotion and help reduce health disparities through service‑oriented educational work.
